The Art of Noticing with Alicia Schultz
Full title: The Art of Noticing: Exploring the Creative Process & the Beauty of Attention.
With a focus on the creative process, this workshop invites participants to slow down and rediscover the wonder of play and paying attention. Through playful experimentation, artists explore how observation transforms into creative expression. All levels of artists are welcome.
The workshop will include creative exercises to awaken intuition, invite strangeness, discovery, and the potential for surprise. Artists will be guided through activities that cultivate curiosity, the art of noticing, and continuing to explore our work deeper. Along with making art, participants will also be provided with journaling prompts to explore how slowing down, experimenting, embracing surprise, and celebrating imperfections shift perception and the creative process. Artists will leave feeling inspired to play and experiment in the creative process and refreshed to see through a lens of noticing beauty.
