Instagram Strategies for Growth with Erin McManness Rodda of Paper Raven Co.

This class is intended for designers and artists of any skill level who are struggling to post to Instagram consistently, feel frustrated with the lack of traction, or feel uninspired with what to post. No one likes to work hard on a Post or Reel, only for it to fall into the void! In this class, Erin will discuss Instagram strategies she has used to gain nearly 50k followers, including hashtags, engagement tactics, planning and scheduling content, and Reels strategies. We’ll finish with a hands-on tutorial on an easy Reels tactic and you’ll walk away with a video post ready!

Unfold the Greeting Card Business with Target Director Lauren Hill

Lauren Hill, the Director of Merchandising for Stationery at Target, will join us in a panel conversation about the Minted greeting card line at Target. As Minted’s primary contact at Target, Lauren has deep insight into Target’s overall stationery business and the Minted greeting card offering. Alongside several members of our partnerships team, Lauren will discuss Target’s greeting card strategy and her view on the latest stationery retail trends.

Abstract Collage Making through Play with Carrie Moradi

Explore playful collage making and discover the magic of freely placing cut or torn shapes on a sheet. Experiment with layouts, scales, and color palettes in a studio-like atmosphere. The workshop guides artists to create small abstract collages, pushing boundaries with mixed media. Materials are provided for multiple pieces and diverse prompt-based creations. Suitable for designers and artists of all levels, it fosters creativity and encourages a relaxed and spirited approach to working with paper.

Fiber Art with Bharti Trivedi

As seen in Minted Direct From Artist, Bharti Trivedi creates unique large scale fiber art rope sculptures and wall hangings with her innovative techniques of manipulating the rope. Learn more about Bharti’s process and try your hand at creating your own rope sculpture with her!

Cleaning Up Scanned Hand Drawings with Beth Schneider

Artists will learn how to clean up their scanned hand drawn or painted artwork to import and use in their Minted designs. This workshop is designed for advanced users of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The last portion will be used for discussion and to share best practices so we can all learn various techniques from each other. Laptop encouraged but not necessary.

After this opening session, attendees can choose to attend one or two “Minted Breaks It Down” sessions sharing recent consumer insights and merchandising trends in our Wedding, Fine Art, or Holiday and Baby & Kid product categories.

Advanced Techniques in Adobe Illustrator with Michael Fugoso, Sr Design Evangelist at Adobe

Add depth and character to your work using the latest advanced techniques in Adobe Illustrator. Michael Fugoso is a Senior Design Evangelist at Adobe for Next Generation Creative Pro. He will demonstrate iconic illustration styles such as flat, skeuomorphic/neuomorphic, and lines art styles using the latest Adobe functionality. He will show multiple styles covering a number of advanced Illustrator techniques.

Sketchbook Sessions: Stretch Your Creativity with Alicia Schultz

Sketchbooks allow for low-pressure creating and space for ideas to percolate and develop. The workshop includes various prompts to help encourage artists to think outside the box, play creatively, and stretch outside their creative comfort zones. This workshop will be for creatives at all levels who want to play, explore different ways of creative thinking, and potentially begin a new relationship with sketchbooks!

Showcase Your Work! Flatlays in Photoshop and Procreate with Ilze Lucero

Learn to showcase your artwork and design using flatlays and photos as reusable templates. Fine artists, stationery artists, and designers are welcome! We will focus on tips and tricks in Photoshop, with options for Procreate users. Explore smart objects, creating textures, and element placement for a cohesive look. Create templates to use across all social media platforms and personal websites.

All levels welcome, but intermediate to advanced knowledge of Photoshop and/or Procreate recommended.

Art = Self Expression. You’ll never love your art, if you hate the thing it’s expressing. Before we can express ourselves, we must have a sense of self. So should we wait until then to make art? I don’t think so! In this talk, we will explore how before you unearth the creative gold of self expression, your creativity is more like a shovel for self excavation. Andy will share how to use your creative work as a tool for digging into yourself and finding your hidden gems.

Watercolor Power Meditations with Agnes Pierscieniak

Join us for calming and colorful watercolor meditations. This session offers exercises for relaxation and creativity. Discover paint techniques and create soothing works based on color, mood, and energy. This “flow meditation" session feels like a yoga practice: we focus on improving our wellbeing with mindfulness and play. Enjoy creating multiple process paintings, working small, fast, and intuitively. Focus on the healing energy journey through shape and color, expressing emotions and elevating mood. Take home tools for continued meditative self-care.

Design Critique Exercise with Emily Mikaere of Inkblot Design and Carolyn Kach of Anchored Paper Co.

Learn how to approach the "Crafting Phase" of an artwork, where we step back and analyze the piece to craft it into its final state using a set of design principles. We’ll explore the benefits of critique and share tips for asking and providing impactful feedback to each other within the Minted community. We'll practice these principles with a live critique session. Artists will leave with concrete feedback on previous Minted submissions and be inspired to continue creating with passion.

Minted’s Third-Party Marketplace: Strategy Insights & Panel Discussion with Minted’s Marketplace team and guest sellers

Minted gives an exclusive, behind-the-scenes peek into our third-party marketplace business including Direct from Artist and Wedding Marketplace. In this session, the Minted team will share strategy and evolution behind launching Minted’s third-party marketplace, early insights into customer shopping trends, and where we're headed with this business. We’ll invite marketplace sellers to share their experience and answer live questions.
