From Sketch to Perfect Vectorized Lettering
with Jill Means, Graphic Designer & Artist
Learn how to take rough sketches (even bad lettering) to beautiful finished work. Discover why vectorizing your lettering using the "Bezier Method" is the best lettering process. This class will focus on script lettering and flourishes, but the method applies to all lettering! You might never use Illustrator's image trace again.

Titles and art statements can add so much to a work and are often one of the hardest parts of putting your work out into the world. In this fun, interactive workshop, Erin will share ideation strategies, how to build a bank to dip into as needed, and to use writing prompts to spark ideas. In this session you will learn beginner-level techniques of brush pen calligraphy. Learn how to use the tools and practice the lowercase alphabet to gain a better understanding of the forms and proportions of the letters. Learn how to join letters to form words and continue practicing at home.

Minted gives an exclusive, behind-the-scenes peek into our Greeting Cards business. The Minted Greeting Cards team will share our lessons learned from our retail partners and customer research. We'll cover editorial strategies that will help you design and write copy for greeting cards that sell.

Paper Collage (Beginner) - Additional Session Added

Draw with scissors! Revisit the basics of shape and color with cut-up construction paper and glue sticks. Very low-stakes. Make simple collages, abstract or representational, unfinished, or fully realized. Think Matisse, Lissitzky, and Eric Carle. Great for unlocking ideas, inspiring yourself and as a calming meditative exercise.

As creatives, we need a place to create freely and not overthink. We will take a look at how different creatives use sketchbooks. And most importantly, we will play in our sketchbooks using creative prompts. For artists who feel intimidated by keeping a sketchbook, this workshop may open up an outlet for low pressure creating.
